Michael Aasen, age 25, of Sun Prairie, WI who was charged on November 2, 2010 with Mistreatment of Animals (Cause Death), Disorderly Conduct, Battery, and Intentionally Mistreating Animals entered a plea of not guilty by reason of mental disease or defect today. The Court will appoint a doctor to evaluate him.
Currently, the case is scheduled for final pre-trial on February 24, 2011 before Honorable Sarah O'Brien, and a jury trial is scheduled to begin March 15, 2011.
